can dogs ride on planes?

i might be going to south korea next summer (in california right now) and i have an 11 week old golden retriever. by next year he would be pretty big, right? are they allowed to ride on planes? the flight would take about 12-16 hours… would they be able to wait that long in a plane? even i get all woozy and weird feeling when i ride the plane that far. but i really want to take him to korea if possible because i want to go to a dog pansion and enjoy vacation with my dog
and if they are allowed to go on the plane, how would they be taken care of and what would be the cost?
i am worrying about this now because my mom said to make plans of what the dog is going to do while we are gone.
and im going to stay at a dog pension and im not necessarily site seeing because i’ve been to korea many times before. im just doing some shopping and seeing family members. and when im gone, he will have other dogs to play with. TONS of other dogs. (because it is a dog pension.) there will be at like 6 other golden retrievers he can play with.
